Why "Post More" Stopped Working for SaaS Marketing
Short answer: volume used to have leverage. It doesn't anymore. Building got cheap, so far more products fight for the same attention, and every extra post, email or ad competes with everyone else's. Plenty of founders are doing a ton. They're pushing harder on a door that got heavier.
From the video:
The advice everyone gives
Do more. More posts, more outreach, more emails, more ad spend, more ad variants. And if you're not doing more, you're the lazy one.
Why it used to work, and why it stopped
More worked because volume had leverage. Then anyone could vibe code a SaaS. There are far more competitors fighting for the same attention, so each extra unit of effort buys less.
That's a change in the math, not in founders. The same hours buy a smaller share of a more crowded feed. Calling the result laziness misreads it.
What I did more of
My first month of content: 3 subscribers and about 2,000 views. Content works, but slowly. Ads didn't work for me. X and Reddit by hand get users, but you are the channel, and Reddit bans you fast. Every one of them is the same move: do more of it yourself.
So is a SaaS with zero users there because the founder isn't doing enough?
Maybe, maybe not. Instead of doing more of what we know has gotten harder, think creatively. Look for the most underestimated distribution channel there is.
The one lever that still has leverage is somebody else's distribution: products that already have your customers, audiences that already trust someone else, places your customer already spends their day. There's more than one way to get it, and how to get paying users for your SaaS without ads grades four of them. (A related point: you may not need more traffic at all, you need more to sell.)
Frequently asked questions
Should I stop posting content?
No. Keep it, but don't make it your only channel; it compounds slowly.
What's the alternative to more volume?
Borrowed distribution through partners who share your customer.
Why did "do more" marketing stop working?
Because building got cheap. Far more products now compete for the same attention, so each extra post, email or ad buys less than it used to.
