Helping Owner-Run Firms Win Their Next Customer

This alliance is looking for startups that help owner-run firms — small producers, clinics, repair businesses, agencies and independent e-shops — win their next customer. Owner-run firms are usually very good at the work itself and have never had anyone whose job is to bring more of it in. New customers arrive by word of mouth or from whoever happened to call, so a quiet month leaves nothing to pull on, and the enquiries that do arrive are half-lost on the way: a call that rings out mid-job, a message sent at nine at night, a quote nobody chased. Owner-run firms rarely experience any of this as a software problem, which is why it goes unfixed for years.

Currently seeking partners. This is an open startup collaboration recruiting partner startups to join, cross-sell into each other's customers, and share the revenue. Ideal partners: The people who create demand where there wasn't any — putting an owner-run firm in front of the people who weren't looking for it yet.; The people who find the customers already in the market — the ones describing this exact problem in pub….

Who we're looking for

We're looking for people who already sell to owner-run firms — small producers, clinics, repair and installation businesses, consultancies and agencies, independent e-commerce operators — and who already help them win their next customer, just in a different way than we do. That difference is the entire point: your customers already need what the rest of us sell, and ours already need what you sell, so the two customer bases cross-sell instead of competing. The shape of your business doesn't matter — a SaaS product, an agency or consultancy, a freelancer or independent consultant, a course or a community with this audience are all equally welcome. The one thing we do need is somewhere to plug in: an API, an AI or agent surface, a place in your product where another partner's feature could live, or a checkout you control.

What problem are we solving?

An owner-run firm has usually solved the hard part: the work is good, and the customers who find it stay. What it has never had is anyone whose job is to make sure there are more of them. Bringing work in happens when someone remembers, in the gaps between delivering the work already sold, and it loses that competition every time. So the usual fixes only ever cover one slice of it — and the slices nobody covers stay invisible, because a customer who was never won leaves no record anywhere.

Is this you?

If you already sell to owner-run firms — the producer with three admin staff, the clinic, the repair business, the two-person agency, the independent e-shop — and you already help them win their next customer, in whatever form your business takes, and you want your product to be part of the system their whole operation runs on rather than one more tab they forget to open, this is for you.

Joining means your customers get a fuller answer to the problem they actually have, and you get revenue from selling into everyone else's — a second and third thing to sell to people who already trust you. Members write their own integrations, which is days of work with modern coding agents rather than a roadmap item, while the partnership, the contract and the revenue split are agreed up front and settle automatically. Joining early means shaping what this becomes instead of fitting into something already decided.
